A sweet and fast-paced contemporary teen romance from USA Today bestselling author Kristina Forest
High school senior Margot Whitman is an intern at Healing Hearts Inc., the company that created the innovative pill that can erase a person’s heartbreak overnight. Every weekend, Margot witnesses patients get cured of their broken hearts. Meanwhile, she’s nursing a heartbreak of her own. With college on the horizon and their futures taking them in different directions, she and her ex Isaac recently called it quits. Margot has thought about taking a pill but erasing her love for Isaac doesn’t feel right. However, her heart breaks all over again when Isaac shows up to the Healing Hearts center, presumably seeking a pill to stop loving her.
As soon as Isaac Fisher walked through the Healing Hearts center doors, knew he’d made a mistake. Even though he’s struggling with heartbreak, he realized that doesn’t want to fall out of love with Margot. He’s surprised to see her working at the front desk, and of course she assumes he’s there to get over her. It doesn’t seem like things could get much worse, but then Margot and Isaac accidentally overhear a terrible and harmful secret about the pill. When they’re caught eavesdropping and almost attacked by shady Healing Hearts executives and their guards, they have no choice but to flee. Now they have to work together to reveal the truth about the pill . . . and maybe, just maybe, repair each other’s hearts in the process.

*MY THOUGHTS*

Who here knew this was coming? Y’all know Kristina Forest is like THAT girl around here. I’ve been waiting on her new YA for SO LONG. I mean you probably can’t tell tho by all the caps I’m speaking in lmao But really, not only was it written by Kristina Forest, but it also just sounds so unique and amazing.

Ok so the plot was crazy. The beginning is like an action movie where they’re like fighting off people and that organization. And then they go on the run which was crazy! There is so much happening in this book lol I will say tho that the ONLY reason I didn’t rate this higher was because of the road trip. There weren’t any surprises or “jump scares” so the pacing kind of stalled. But even still I was stuck in this book. The only reason it took so long was because I had to sleep unfortunately lol

The romance was so cute! They had the cutest meet cute too. I’m a sucker for a love interest that likes someone but is too scared to say anythng. And Isaac did just that. We only hear snippets about their romance in the beginning, but even still it hurt hurt me when they broke up. And then to see them like hurt each other (on accident mind you) like pushed the dagger in deeper. I felt so bad for them. I was glad I got to see them go all the way through.

Lastly, I loved the idea of the pill and curing heartbreaks. I tried to think about whether or not I would do something like that or if I knew anyone who would. I think this would be an interesting thing to have a discussion about. Especially with the thought of the side effects going around. I think I might submit this for our next year’s ToB…..

This was so freaking cute and so unique. It’s Kristina Forest so I knew I wouldn’t but I really loved this one. I’m actually kind of sad I read it. Just like with TDJ’s newest, I was waiting on this one for a long time and now I don’t have it to look forward to anymore. So come one Kristina Forest, give me another one lol

Overall, I give this
