To all my followers that celebrate it, HAPPY THANKSGIVING! I hope you use this time to spend with your family and friends and eat lots, and Lots, and LOTS of food!
I recently did a list of all the bookish things I’m thankful for, so that I could save this list for today! There’s so many things, but these are just a few:
- God– Without Him, all that I do wouldn’t be possible. I give all praise and honor to Him.
- My family– They’ve always given me the support behind any and everything I’ve ever done. Even when I was super scared to do it, you stood beside me and assured me I was making the right decision. And a huge thanks to my mommy, who is mostly my best friend lol even though everytime I tell her that her response is always, “I’m not your best friend, I’m your mom.” smh lol
- Friends– I love all my friends! From ones that don’t read, to bookish ones, to blogger ones, to bookish blogger ones, to gamer ones! I can count on any and all of you to help me out with laughs about anything!
- The Boyfriend– The past three years have been some work, but what relationship isn’t? It wouldn’t be a great one if we weren’t both putting in some effort. Thank you so much for supporting my “weird” bookish habit and understanding me more than most other people. And most of all, thank you for allowing me to “cheat” with all the many, MANY book boyfriends I have. Because without your permission…. Ok never mind, I’d still have them anyways haha
- My Health– Having two family members (one on both sides of my family) die from cancer this year has left me so scared.I’m more than thankful that I am healthy.
- Employment– It may not be in a field my degree is in, but it pays the bills and sometimes I even have money left over lol I also have amazing managers that want to see me move up in the company and I’m so incredibly thankful that they see something that bright in my future.
- A roof over my head: I may hate the small town we stay in, but I have furniture and working electricity, and a big enough apartment where we can be comfortable. (And by that I mean when the boyfriend gets on my nerves, he can go in his man cave. That’s very comfortable! lol)
- All service men and women– Having so many members in my family that are in the Army and Navy, Veterans, a police officer, a missionary, and nurses I can’t help but be thankful for them. They take on huge responsibilities each and every time they go out and work and I thank them for taking on such huge jobs. Not everyone can protect and serve, but I’m thankful they do.
So, what all are you thankful for?!
