The New York Times bestselling author of First-Time Caller, B.K. Borison is back with a whimsical new holiday romance—this time with a magical twist—that will have everyone falling in love with the Ghost of Christmas Past.
He’s the Ghost of Christmas Past. She’s not exactly Scrooge.
Ghost of Christmas Past Nolan Callahan intends to spend this holiday haunting like every other—get in, get out, return to his otherwise aimless existence as a ghost awaiting the afterlife. But when he’s faced with Harriet York, the sweetest assignment he’s ever had, he suddenly finds himself wishing for a future.
Harriet York has no idea why she’s being haunted. She’s a good person—or, at least, she tries to be. A people pleaser to her core, she always does what’s expected of her. But as she and Nolan begin to examine her past, they discover there are threads that bind them together— and realize there might be more to moving on than expected.
With the deadline of Christmas Eve fast approaching, will they find the key to their futures in each other’s pasts? Or will they stay firmly in the present, indulging in their unexpected, spirited connection?

Filled with magic, mayhem, and cozy holiday charm, this swoony romance is B.K. Borison’s best yet!

*MY THOUGHTS*

When I first heard about this book, I heard he was a ghost of Christmas past. And if you know me, you know that A Christmas Carol is one of my comfort reads. (S/o to The Great Illustrated Classics version ftw lol) And then I found out this was nothing like what I thought it was lol

But honestly, I was good with that. He was a Ghost of Christmas Past, but she wasn’t a Scrooge. It was like a twist on the whole thing. And I think I liked it even more knowing that there was something that I didn’t know yet. But even still, the twist, I didn’t see that coming. The plot of this had me basically binge reading it. I really don’t know how it took me so long to read because I was so into it. Without spoiling anything, his deadline to help Hazel is Christmas Eve, but they can’t figure out how he’s supposed to help her. As they work to try to figure out how to help her, they get closer and learn more about each other. But they can’t go further than that because he’s a ghost right????

The characters were hella sweet. I’ll tell you one thing… Nolan was so patient lol Because Hazel kept getting on my nerves with the, “this isn’t real” thing lolol Lmao I just knew she was going to ask him again after he made it snow inside lol But he really was the sweetest person for her. Hazel was so sweet, but I hated that she let people walk all over her. I know she’s a people pleaser, but man sometimes you gotta say no lol I was glad her standing up for herself was part of that confidence back to her.

The romance was so sweet! I must admit I got a little teary eyed at the ending. There’s just something about love that lasts for so long and across so many places. But even tho I liked what happened at the end, doesn’t mean I actilly like the end. It was a bit rushed and I was annoyed. We barely got to see them together. But that one scene, with the snowing inside? Yeah, I’d like one of those please. Just in case Santa is still taking requests.

This book is a Christmas soon to be favorite. And there’s another one coming out next year. I know that holiday romances aren’t always people’s cup of tea, but listen when I tell you y’all, this one is worth it. This sweet story put me on the path to read all of the holiday things this year lol I hope y’all pick this up to get you in the holiday spirit too!

Overall, I give this
