ten reasons you read your favorite genre?
Well, my favorite genre is Contemporary Romance!
Here are the Top Reasons I love it!
1. THE SWOONS.
2. Hot literary guys
3. I always say I’m tired of the same “besties to lovers” or “boy gets girl, boy loses girl, boy gets girl again” troupes, but I still fall for them every time.
4. Meet cutes 🙂
5. Pick me up Reads. I normally read contemps when I’m in a reading slump!
6. Real life issues.
7. When they finally realize they have fallen for someone
8. Knowing they fall for each other throughout the entire book, but getting to watch (read?) them fall in love <3
9. So many real life places I’ve visited in these books!
10. So many different scenarios for a plot. Love is universal y’all!

OOh nice reasons! I think in general a lot of our reasons can be applied to almost any genre. Well…maybe not the variety of supernatural characters I used in mine, but a lot of the other ones though! LOL! 😉

good reasons. I especially like watching them fall in love throughout the story. I love it when I see the moment it happens and the characters do not.

I am not really a romance fan, but when it intertwines with some paranormal or fantasy, I'll say SERVE ME SOME OF THAT LOVIN', hahaha! Great answers!

I agree with so many of these!! I LOVE reading about an actual place I've been in real life in a book – or vice versa, visiting a place I've read about in books. My cousin lives in Chicago, so I went to visit her a couple years and I insisted we go to the park with the ferris wheel from Divergent. It was so cool to see and reminisce.

What a great list! (: Romances are my favorite genre too! Though mysteries are right up there with them!

Ooh great list! I tend to prefer a great romance in a fantasy or paranormal novel and seeing characters fall in love while they don't even realise is the nicest thing <3 I also love how any book can transport you to different places that you otherwise wouldn't have, even inspiring you to venture to that place (so long as it's not fictional ahah)

That is AWESOME. And you just gave me something else to do! I'm going to Chicago for BEA this year and now I know I need to go see this ferris wheel! Cool!
