The truth is stranger than fan fiction in the new sexy, paranormal romcom from the bestselling author of The Roommate and The Intimacy Experiment.
The only place small-town outcast Alex Lawson fits in is the online fan forum she built for Arcane, a long-running werewolf detective show. Her dedication to archiving fictional supernatural lore made her Internet-famous, even if she harbors a secret disdain for the show’s star, Devin Ashwood. (Never meet your heroes – sometimes they turn out to be The Worst.)
Ever since his show went off the air, Devin and his career have spiraled, but waking up naked in the woods outside his LA home with no memory of the night before is a new low. It must have been a coincidence that the once-in-a-century Wolf Blood Moon crested last night. The claws, fangs, and howling are a little more difficult to explain away. Desperate for answers, Devin finds Alex – the closest thing to an expert that exists. If only he could convince her to stop hating his guts long enough to help . . .
Once he makes her an offer she can’t refuse, these reluctant allies lower their guards trying to wrangle his inner beast. Unfortunately, getting up close and personal quickly comes back to bite them.

*MY THOUGHTS*

This was so much fun. Disclaimer, if you like those REAL shifter books, you might not enjoy this lol But if you’re still a newcomer like me, you might love this as much as I did. And that is a hill I’m willing to perish on lol

Ok so the reason I said that is because I went through and read some of the reviews on Goodreads and there were ALOT angry lol So I went back and looked at my notes like did we read the same book? lol But then I realized that they were looking for the like super shifter books. lol Meanwhile, I was just looking for a good time. And that’s exactly what it was. For me, this was fun. It had most of the wolf lore which I loved, and the fan girl life that I deeply related to. There’s also mention of endometriosis rep and I loved seeing that in a book. Granted all they said was that her cramps were really bad, but that’s a legit symptom, but they didn’t go into much detail about it.

The characters in this were my favorite thing. Devin was an a-hole, but I chalked it up to the weirdness that he was going through. Especially once they figured out what happened when they first met. But there were also some places where I was like “REALLYYYYYY?” But even still, I thought this was fun. And like, the entire time I actually felt sorry for him. Because Lordt knows the way people were acting towards him and the basketball game thing was whewwwww. It was…. Not great. As for Alex, I enjoyed her. I can honestly say I related to her on a deep level. As someone who’s part of MANY fandoms, I loved this part about her. I did worry about her tho. Because I don’t care how big of a fan I am, I am NOT going to help a guy who thinks he’s becoming a wolf lmao

As for the romance, they had a tough time to begin with, but as things went on, I thought it was sweet. I especially liked the way he was so territorial over her. I know it was the wolf, but it was sweet the way he clocked her scent and knew to help her when she needed it. And the way she loved him immediately was funny to me. We say we love our celebrity crushes all the time. But who MEANS it? Idk, I enjoyed seeing him fall for her, but I think I enjoyed seeing her love for him evolve even more.

Again, take this review with a grain of salt. I hope y’all take a chance and read it on your own. At the very least, let me know what you think of it. I hope y’all let me know what you think.

Overall, I give this
