Books to Movie Challenge!

BookToMovie

Ok, I know I already posted about my Challenges for 2013, but I FINALLY found the one that I was REALLY looking for! The BOOKS TO MOVIE Challenge! I posted this on Twitter the other day and got no replies so I was pleasntly surprised to see there actually was one! I cannot wait!

With all the bookish movies coming out and with me wanting to read them all before the movie, this challenge is just for me! So, here are the guidelines:

  • Post a review of every book and movie, although I may have read/seen one of them before.
  • Put up links to your reviews.
  • Neither the book nor the movie has to be new this year.
  • Watching a TV show counts as long as you watch a “movie length” amount, usually 2 episodes.
  • Finally, there will be quarterly check-ins.
I’m going to put myself down as just a “Movie Devotee” because I have a couple of these books/movies that I have seen or read them before and they need reviews. Here is what I’m planning on reading/watching:
1. The Host by Stephenie Meyer/ The Host the movie. (releases: March 29, 2013)
2. Warm Bodies by Issac Marion/ Warm Bodies the movie (releases February 1, 2013)
3. Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia & Margaret Sthol/ Beautiful Creatures the movie (releases February 13,2013)
4. Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins / Catching Fire the movie (releases November 21, 2013)
5.The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by Frank L. Baum/ Oz the Great and Powerful the movie (releases March 8, 2013)*
6. City of Bones by Cassandra Clare/ The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones the movie (releases August 23, 2013)
6.5. Grimm’s Complete Fairy Tales by Arthur Rackham/ Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters the movie (releases January 25, 2013)*
*Not sure if they count as they’re not the EXACT same thing but its close enough to be based off it right?
