Has reading helped you become a better person?
Most definitely. I’m able to use books as windows and look at the way other people’s lives and how they live. I love getting to know people this way. I also use it like a sliding glass door, so that I can put myself in their position and express the empathy I feel for the characters. They will definitely help me to know more and how to react when/if those situations happen in real life. But of course, this only works if you read diversely. Otherwise you don’t even think twice.

What about you? Do you read diversely? Do you think books have made you a better person? Let me know in the comments!
Ooh nice! I think reading does help us in this area. I guess it’s why I find people who don’t read deplorable! Not necessarily all non-readers, but the people who really hurt you or others, you can just tell they aren’t readers. I almost feel like one needs to have a passion for anything to truly have empathy as I could see artists and musicians being good genuine people as well.
