Do you use a book’s synopsis for your review??
I used to. Until people started getting “mad” about it across the internet. They said, they’ve already read the synopsis, so why do they need to read it again. (Which is hilarious because I didn’t even think about that because I DON’T read the synopsis lol) I was sad because I really struggle with talking about the plot but not giving anything away. But it is what it is. Now I just ramble on and on in the hopes that no one is actually listening to me anyway lol

Well I always include the book’s info at the top of my review just so people know what I’m basing everything off of. I prefer getting a quick and easy rundown of what the book is about just so I know that I wasn’t fooled by said dust jacket copy as I have been before! I swear one book led me to believe it would be a YA murder mystery but was nothing of the kind! Others pretend their thrillers and spend 1 chapter actually doing any mystery solving.
So yes, I would like to know plot details from the dust jacket that are in the book and which ones that aren’t mentioned in said dust jacket that are in the book. I’ve always lived by write the review you want to read so that’s what I do! Lol.
