Do you have a threshold on books where you will offer the author feedback but won’t review?
I guess that would be when I DNF. I give a few points why I don’t like them or whatever, but that’s it. It’s not exactly constructive feedback, just a reasoning why I particularly didn’t like it. But I hate using this because just because I didn’t like it, doesn’t mean anything. I might be the Black Sheep or something.
What about you? Is yours different? Let me know in the comments!
That’s pretty much how I feel about DNFing…or if I flat out did not like the book but ended up finishing it anyway. I’m always ending my review with “it didn’t work for me, but if it sounds like one you will like, go for it!” I know I’ve loved books other people didn’t. I’ve loved a ton of movies that always got the bombs vs stars! Lol. So yeah, I never like telling people not to read something because I didn’t like it.
