How much do you value your book collection?
…I…. I really don’t know how to answer that. Especially as a librarian. But I do put it pretty high. It’s the only thing I have that’s all mine? Like my husband doesn’t read physical books and my son is still a baby, so these are only mine. And I take a lot of pride in building my collection and keeping them in ABC order and dusting my shelves etc. But idk, I take care of it so I guess it’s high on my value list lol (Idk it makes me feel weird to talk about things that I hold in high regard. Especially when it’s books. It seems like it’s silly lol)
Also, now that I think about it, I don’t know that that’s fair because I work in collection development lol I value book collections more than most lmao

What about you? Let me know in the comments!
Perhaps it’s because you work with books, and book collections that books just seem to be everywhere. They are a norm. So I guess the valuing and treasuring doesn’t feel the same since they are such a normal part of your life. My books are my treasures. Being separated from them while I search for a house is torturous! I’ve mainly my TBR books to keep me company.
Here’s my BBH
Have a GREAT day!
