In elementary school, did you participate in the Book-It! reading program?
I might have. I went to a Catholic school and they might have been getting them for us, but I don’t remember ever getting a thing that said I could have a pizza. Most of my celebrations of reading came from me visiting the public library and participating in the summer reading programs.

Yeah I know my sister put her oldest daughter through Catholic school as a kid and she never had a program like that. She’ll be putting her youngest two in Catholic school as well once they are of age. So we’ll see if things are different in a handful of years! I mostly remember a 600 minute reading program where if we read for 600 minutes and noted the titles and whatnot (had our parent sign off on it to verify too of course!) then we’d get a ticket to Six Flags! I participated every year because it was too easy and I loved going to the amusement parks! Lol!
We may have had a pizza one earlier on too. That one’s a little fuzzy to remember if we did, I mainly remember the Six Flags one!
