Do you have any reading goals for the new year?
I’m only going to put a few cuz y’all know I always do this a couple days before the new year anyway
-Put myself out there more. Ask for more things. Do more things. Put my name out there to be remembered. In the “influencer” world AND the library world. I’m trying to get on a ALA award jury or something.
-Read 300 books. I made it to 280 this year after only trying to get to like 260 and yeah, I’ve beaten my goal twice now lol
-I want to branch out to more platforms like BlueSky and Threads. I haven’t been posting much there since I got out of the habit after Twitter left, so I think it might be fun to get more involved there. Especially if TT really goes away. It’s sad because I was just starting to get comfy there, but oh well. I’ll just find other ways.
-Of course read more diversely in all ways, but this year I want to focus on intersectionality.
What about you? What goals do you have for next year? Let me know in the comments!
OOh nice set of goals! honestly, I’ve forgotten to check into Threads like I used to do with Twitter. I signed up on BlueSky as well but then thought, that’s too many apps, as I admit I still use Twitter in some capacity, mainly for customer service related issues as it’s so much quicker to get assistance than wait on emails!
Good luck with your goals this year! I bow down to your nearly 300 books read! I think I got up to 75 or 76. There’s not much chance that I will be able to finish my 600+ page book I just started before New Year’s Day!
Here’s my BBH
Have a GREAT day!
