Blogger Development
I love this topic! I really haven’t thought about going pro on my blog, but the idea does sound appealing. But I have branched out in my community. I donate books to my local library and I have helped out at the Boys and Girls Club to help their child readers. I sometimes partner with other bloggers by trading books back and forth to give them books they don’t have and vice versa.
When I first started blogging I was really shy and didn’t like to put any negative reviews. Now I have no qualms with writing negative reviews. As much as I hate it, its my honest opinion and that’s what’s asked of me as a blogger.
I have also realized that my content in my reviews have changed dramatically. Where they used to be short and not very descriptive, they gotten longer with way more descriptions on what I liked or didn’t like about the book.
Overall, I caan honestly say I’ve grown as a blogger. I wouldn’t say that I’ve made it big time in the blogging world, but I have done ok for my small blog.

Genre Fiction
My favorite genres include all things YA, NA, and MG. I am mostly drawn to anything dealing with romance in these types of books, but I will give other books a try as well. My favorite sub-genre right now is retellings! I just read and LOVED Cinder and Scarlet by Marissa Meyer and The Madman’s Daughter by Megan Shepard.
Since its summer, what I’m mostly looking forward to is sitting by the pool with a fruity drink and a contemporary romance in a beach like setting. I need some fun in the sun with a hot literary guy to get me through this down south heat!
What is your favorite sub-genre of fiction?
Nice post! Blogging is hard work and it's nice to see blogs that review honestly. There's nothing wrong with a negative review. Look at the most popular books out there and they have plenty of negative reviews.

I love what you said about how your reviews have changed. Mine have too (and for the better I think! LOL) I now try to not focus so much on summarizing and focus more on analyzing and describing the characters and issues presented.

It's refreshing to hear about someone branching out into the real world community and not just the online community. I too donate to the library and local literacy groups. And I completely understand about not wanting to post a negative review. I also drop at least one or two things I did like about the book so that it's not too negative. 🙂 Tattooed Books
I would love to be able to spend more time on my blog to take it where I would like it to go. I see some bloggers who are so successful and applaud them. The one bad thing about BEA is my TBR pile just continues to grow! You listed some great books.
