*MY THOUGHTS*

I always find it so hard to rate anthologies. Like how do you rate so many different stories? Especially when they’re all by different authors? It makes me feel so weird lol But I’ve found if I talk about those I liked and then those I didn’t, give each story it’s own rating, and then average it out, I can usually come up with a little something, something.

This anthology has a wide variety of stories just waiting to be devoured. Like there’s really something for everyone here. And I’m not talking just subject wise either. The spice is switched up and different and keeps all types of readers in mind. And they’re all based on the holiday, Nochebuena which is (as far as this collection of stories) celebrated by the LatinX community.

I really need to start reading the synopsis of books. I had no idea what I was getting myself into with the spice level. I remember reading the first story and I was damn near sweating. Towards the end they get more and more spicy. Definitely something I was glad I was saving to read for when my kid was asleep. If you’re wondering, the average spice level for this (in my opinion) is 3.5. There are a couple 5s in there, but for the most past it was 4s, so this makes sense to me.

As for the stories I liked, I wasn’t surprised it was from those authors that I’ve already read and liked, like Alexis Daria’s. But I was surprised by the way I loved the ending story. Definitely not the usual type of romance I read, but I liked this story good enough for me to go and see if she had a back catalog that I needed to check out.

And then there’s those that I didn’t really care for. Which is kind of hard. Because even if I didn’t like them, I still did like them. That sounds like it made no sense lol But for real, I think the lowest rating I gave them was a 2. None of them were DNF’s, so I thought that was good by itself lol

Lastly, I wanted to talk about ending. I absolutely loved how everything tied together. I would have loved to have the responsibility of including everyone’s couple and some small things about them. And she was still able to fit in her own type of twist too. It was awesome.

Like I’ve said before, anthologies are hard to review, but this one turned out to be easy. This book is something I would advise anyone 18+ to read because when I saw there’s something for everyone, I really mean there’s something for everyone. Give at least one story a shot and let me know what you think!

Overall, I give this,
