I’m really anxious because I’ve never been on a plane… And to think I’ll also be roaming the airport by myself. I’m terrified as you can expect. But even still I will be leaving to go to the airport tomorrow morning at 6:30 am.
But even as terrified as I am about navigating the airport, I’m super excited to get to Chicago, go see the Bean, the Michael Jordan statue, and to try some Chicago deep dish and some Chicago craft beer! And then most of all: GET SOME BOOKS! I have a couple I have my eye on and a couple some of my kids (the ones from my practicum) told me to grab, but overall I’m just going to network!
Last but not least, DON’T FORGET TO PARTICIPATE IN ARMCHAIR BEA IF YOU’RE NOT PLANNING TO GO TO CHICAGO! Even though I’ve been blogging for 6 (OMG) years, this is my first time going to BEA. Armchair BEA was always there for me to participate in. It’s really fun and serves as a great way to still have fun without actually being there. Another great way is to participate in the Twitter party that Hannah and some more bloggers and authors throw! They started it last year and it was definitely fun! I ended up winning More Happy Than Not by Adam Silvera from them last year!
So tell me, are YOU going to BEA?
What should I look for while there?
Any other touristy places I should visit while in Chicago?!

We'll have an adventure together I am sure!! Airports aren't too tricky! They're all different and as long as you don't have a ton of connecting flights…what I'm used to as flying out of St. Louis is nothing like what it used to be sadly, you'll do great! It's the plane ride itself that can be the most worrying! But when you get off it always feels like everyone knows where the luggage claim is so just follow them! 😉
