Do the star ratings a book receives on Goodreads or retail sites affect whether you buy the book or not?
Not really the overall, but the individual ones of my most trusted friends, yes. I also look to my closest friends too because they know what triggers me, and they always warn me about what will trigger me. And I love them for that.

I more so look to reviews for books I'm debating about. Usually I know what I like so I can easily pick my reads. But there are ones I debate about and will read all my friends' reviews to see if it's something I would like.
