These themes will vary! It could be based off of some book mail I just received, pop culture, something personal to me, a headline from the news, a trend I noticed when I was buying books for my library system, etc. I hope you stick around to see all the themes and book recs I come up with!

Today’s Theme: “Hey Professor O……”
If you finished that, you are my people! LOL I kept repeating this the whole time I was making today’s TfT! I need to find out where the Parkers is streaming now because I need a re-watch lol But anyways, that iconic catch phrase was perfect for today’s theme! My friends up north started school either last week or this week, so I thought what better way than to talk about Hot Professors! In this one, Maddie is a new lecturer at the University and a nanny. Bram is a single dad and professor. As you can guess, she’s his new nanny. This was so good and yes, it’s more sweat than sweet. (It’s by Julie Murphy and Sierra Simone, so think of the spice that was in Christmas Notch) This is a workplace romance, so forbidden love abounds. I think I binged this in two days lol Looking into this one made me realize there is another one coming out, so I’ll just be sitting here twiddling my thumbs until it comes out next year.
Ok so this one was a little bit different. I’ve seen a few people who got the ick from this because he is actually her professor, but she is of age. Their age gap is 26 (her) and 36 (him) This made for another book with a forbidden romance. It was interesting because they seemed so different. (Ramona was a retired pop star and Nick is a professor.) But they also had so many things in common, like unfortunately the way they had been hurt in the past by people in their family. Ramona with her mom and Nick with his ex wife. Ramona ends up in his glass and is immediately drawn to him. Their chemistry is off the charts early on, which ends up with them first arguing if she actually wants to be there or if she was taking the spot from someone else. (Which that pissed me off because regardless she paid for it?! ANYWAYS) It’s not nearly as much into the sweat category as Fundamentals, but this one is still “sweaty.” I would say it’s definitely more sweat than sweet, but not by much. Like barely over the sweaty bar lol
Well, there you go! Here I’m just going to talk about why I grouped these two books together. I hope you enjoyed a look at this small part of the books. For a full synopsis of the book or to add it to your TBR, click the picture and it will take you to their Storygraph. The link on the caption will take you to it’s Goodreads.

A nod to today’s theme and because one of these is becoming a movie (ICAN’TWAITOMG) and because the NSFW cover of Office Hours is still my jam LOL I haven’t read it, and I know the other Nikki is going to be pissed when she sees this but I promise, I’m getting there! I bought the audio and just haven’t listened to it yet! lol

What about you? Have you read either of these? Did you catch where the theme came from? How many of you read it in her voice? Let me know in the comments!
