The Ex-Girlfriend Murder Club is back with a twist in this smart, hilarious mystery by USA TODAY bestselling author Gloria Chao.
Kathryn Hu is not getting into the business of solving murders. Yes, she and her friends Olivia and Elle figured out who killed their cheating ex-boyfriend. But now Kat can get back to her usual, murder-free existence.
Then she gets an unexpected plea for help. Mandy Thorne has ruined countless lives through her revenge podcast. She also did her best to frame the girls. Now, she claims, someone is trying to kill her. And the girls are the only ones who can save her.
But can the trio and Mandy put aside their mutual contempt long enough to prevent a murder and solve this case? Can they become…the Mortal Enemy Murder Club?

*MY THOUGHTS*

I think I liked this one considerably less than the first one. And not because it was bad…. Well kind of. Because let me just say, the person that was under fire in this book, the whole time I was thinking let me be the one to do it and we can end this lmao

The mystery was good. I had a lot of fun with it. I don’t even remember trying to guess the killer because I was having too much fun. This was hilarious. It’s been a minute since I’ve read a cozy mystery with this much humor, so I was all in. I laughed through so much of this book. I just kept remembering the “cut-out” and the tracker. I won’t say more because of spoilers, but just know I spent a lot of this book cackling lol

The ending was cute, but Lordt I wish it hadn’t happened. This person was annoying af and I do not want another book with them LOL Hell at the end of this I WANTED them to catch their ass. The whole time I was like ehhhh just get caught already. I did get excited because maybe that means there’s more and we get another book! And hopefully that annoying ass person isn’t the focus of that one too lol

The romance was also cute. I was a little scared there because I thought they weren’t going to be together in this one, but they make it work. But even with them being in love, it was touch and go there for a moment. Because girly how are we supposed to go through with this and you’re sitting here saying all this weird stuff around EVERYONE?! (I HOWLED at this one lol) But even with their opposite personalities they still loved each other and it really showed. (Because why else would you stay with someone after THAT?! LMAO)

This was good! I really do hope there was another. I’m new to cozy mysteries still, so I really hold the ones I love near and dear to my heart. And this is one of those stories. After this I can’t imagine where this story is going next, but I’ll be on pins and needles until something is released about it.

Overall, I give this
