*MY THOUGHTS*
I was not prepared for this book. I had no idea what it was about lol If I had known I would have read it way earlier lol This book was so good! And it’s unusual because I really don’t like books with amnesia. Especially romance novels. They usually hurt too much. But this time I just couldn’t stop reading!
Ok so I think I liked this so much because of the emotions that it put me through. Like bruh this book put me through the ringer lol I love meet cutes so I was grinning ear to ear from their meet cute. And then there was the whole car thing. I literally yelled, “OMG!” Then when she was crying, I was also crying. This book had me in shambles. I also was scared and surprised with the ending. I felt so much from this book. That’s how I knew this book had a hold on me.
The romance was SO GOOD! I don’t want to say much because of spoilers, but please know, I really enjoyed it. And again, that’s saying something. I’m not usually one for amnesia romances unless it’s been established over some time. Since this one actually wasn’t I was shocked that I enjoyed it so much. I just feel like it’s manipulative unless it’s done exactly right. Like even in this case with the “papers” that almost happened. She got to do things differently. And while that sounds good, it can also be sad for the other person. Idk maybe I over think it, but I just don’t care for it. But for whatever reason, I was sucked into this one.
The magical realism part was bad ass tho. I can only imagine the things that people would do for that. Actually I think people would react just the way they did LOL It was really crazy, but it also made a lot of sense. I loved it because it also gave a bit of mystery to this story, and y’all know how I love a good mystery. It really gave the story some umph. It made it that much better for me.
This was so good! I’ve never read anything like this before. And the ending kind of threw me off a bit, so let’s hope there’s more lol But as of now, go pick this book up! I need someone to talk with me about the magical realism part because this was crazy. So go get it and come back and let’s discuss LOL
