These themes will vary! It could be based off of some book mail I just received, pop culture, something personal to me, a headline from the news, a trend I noticed when I was buying books for my library system, etc. I hope you stick around to see all the themes and book recs I come up with!

Today’s Theme: Oddly Specific- Characters Named August!
I had something completely different in mind for this week’s TfT. But when I read this book I knew I had to do it. Because how is it that I haven’t read any books with a main character named August, but then I read two back to back….. Twice. Lol Idk what that’s called, but whatever it is, it’s funny lol In this one, the main character is learning life without his boyfriend who died in a car accident. He then accidentally goes to the Underworld where he thinks he can trick his way into finding his lost love. There’s so much more happening that I need y’all to pick up your own so I can have someone to talk about it with!
I haven’t finished reading it yet, but it’s on par to be like the other book, AMAZING. This time August and her monster companion are training for the Monsters Ball. While doing this, she also still has her own agenda, which is finding her mother’s killer. She also forms a second bond with a Wild Monster! She’s much more interested in getting that revenge than anything else. I’ve only read up to chapter 3, but I anticipate flying through this one like I did the last one. I need to know what happens immediately!
Well, there you go! Here I’m just going to talk about why I grouped these two books together. I hope you enjoyed a look at this small part of the books. For a full synopsis of the book or to add it to your TBR, click the picture and it will take you to their Storygraph. The link on the caption will take you to it’s Goodreads.
Here’s Some Other Book Characters with the Name August!

How many of these have you read? And yes one is the first book to the one I used today, and I used the books I used today, but I think it counts. I put a Fall background because y’all always forget that it’s still summer and associate it with Fall smh Anyways, let me know if you pick one of these up! Have you read Wonder before? Did you forget about that book?

Have you read any of these books with an August as the main character? Will you add them to your TBR? Let me know in the comments!
