Two for Tuesday: Passport to my Heart!

These themes will vary! It could be based off of some book mail I just received, pop culture, something personal to me, a headline from the news, a trend I noticed when I was buying books for my library system, etc. I hope you stick around to see all the themes and book recs I come up with!

Today’s Theme: Passport to my Heart

Summer is always the season for romance for me. I tend to gravitate towards anything with an HEA or HFN at the end. And as you know, I didn’t get a lot of vacations when I was smaller, so I usually travel through books. And this year I noticed that I have actually picked up a lot of YA books that are set during the summer and also set abroad. The two that I’ve read just recently were actually really fun. In this one, it seemed more like a coming of age novel to me, but the romance part of this? Definitely stood out from the rest of the novel. It happened SO FAST, but it was also so fierce. The way Jaliya fought for them with a back drop of Jamaica?!* There IS a love triangle, so please be mindful of that lol But it was actually believable and it was different than your average, and I actually enjoyed that. I hope y’all pick this up! *I HAVE been to Jamaica before and I was able to recognize some of the places that she went. This was so cool! [This is a YA book and it’s out now!]

Soraya, the main character in this one made some questionable choices for me, but I still enjoyed it. I felt like her auntie because I was yelling at her for so many things, but when she finds love, it’s undeniable. As much as she tries to deny it lol As she was galivanting across Italy, I was mad as hell at her tho. Because why in the world did you even care about that idiot? Ugh what I mean is, there is a love triangle in this one as well, but it’s less in your face than the other. I still enjoyed it and I still laughed and had fun while I was reading. I hope y’all pick this up and go visit Italy as well! [This is a YA book and is out now!]

Well, there you go! Here I’m just going to talk about why I grouped these two books together. I hope you enjoyed a look at this small part of the books. For a full synopsis of the book or to add it to your TBR, click the picture and it will take you to their Storygraph. The link on the caption will take you to it’s Goodreads.

Work- Off, Vacation-On

To make a library display, here’s some more romance books and that are set abroad! I’ve read Love and Gelato and Love in Ruins, but the others are on my TBR! I think I might be reading Ancient History really soon tho.

Have you read any of these? Do you like romance set abroad? Let me know in the comments!
