Two for Tuesday: SummerWeen!

These themes will vary! It could be based off of some book mail I just received, pop culture, something personal to me, a headline from the news, a trend I noticed when I was buying books for my library system, etc. I hope you stick around to see all the themes and book recs I come up with!

It’s finally summer! So you know what that means! It’s also finally SummerWeen! And Slasher Summer is a perfect addition to your SummerWeen TBR! As soon as I saw the cover of this and read the title of this I knew I had to have it. As a slasher horror fantatic, I knew I needed to have it. This was essentially Scream in a book. And for that reason alone I think you need to add this to your SummerWeen TBR! There are a lot of POV’s and it took a miniute to get started, but once it did, I really enjoyed it. I could definitely see this being turned into a movie. And it’s set during the summer too, so it’s basically the perfect SummerWeen read! If you like slasher horror and haven’t added this to your TBR, what are you doing? There are multiple POVs, so if that’s not your thing just be mindful of that! [This is Adult and is out today!]

I’m actually reading this one right now. I just started it last night. From the synopsis this one is basically like a summer camp slasher. And this one sounds even more interesting because its set during the summer. I am hella excited to see how this pans out. This one is actually historical fiction and is set during the summer at a camp. But this one also has like a paranormal aspect to it maybe, so I’m excited to see what comes from that. The beginning of this sounds hella good tho. I think that would traumatize me too. So yeah, if you wanna know what this is about, add this to your SummerWeen TBR too! [This is Adult and is out now!]

Well, there you go! Here I’m just going to talk about why I grouped these two books together. I hope you enjoyed a look at this small part of the books. For a full synopsis of the book or to add it to your TBR, click the picture and it will take you to their Storygraph. The link on the caption will take you to it’s Goodreads.
