*MY THOUGHTS*
I was so excited to read this one. Y’all know how many times I read Only for the Week. I STILL think about that reading on the boat scene every so often. and while this book is hella different and way more melanocholy than OFTW, I still loved it just as much.
One thing I loved about this was the scavenger hunt. It literally didn’t make sense to make them go galvanting all over like this, but it got them out to see the world and it helped them find their way back to each other. Also, what is it with y’all and lists? There was just a list in another book just recently too. I wanted to use them for a TfT but I didn’t want let out any spoilers. Maybe I might still do it in the future.
As for the characters, I knew off the bat that I would love Micah. I meannnn he wasn’t Rome, but don’t sleep on him, Micah was still tea! And I also liked Dani who I really resonated with. Her anxiety felt so real to me. And the survivor’s guilt really hit. I just wanted to give her a hug in some points. But the two of them together, was electric. Listen I almost applauded that mirror scene. One of my fave micro-tropes. But overall, their whirlwind re-romance was one of my favorites. (And yes I said re-romance because this was a second chance romance lol)
I also liked all the other big topics that it touched on as well. Like her old agent? And how the sibling to someone with a disability feels. (I only pointed this out because I am also a sibling to someone with a disability and I too had a moment like Micah.) And how important support and therapy are to everyone. Definitely important messages that I hope people will also receive when they pick this up.
I hope there’s more to this series. I need all the friends! Not Amerie but yeah lol They all need one. Just to see them all find their forever love. So Natasha Bishop this is my formal ask for the rest of the friend group LOL (If the answer is no don’t tell me lmao)
I love this series and I hope y’all go pick it up. This series is turning into one of my favorites and I really hope that this isn’t the end.
Overall, I give this
