*MY THOUGHTS*

This was….. Not good. In fact I disliked more than I liked? I was glad to have gotten this from audible just as a download because I think I would have been mad if I paid for it. This was ok, but so so basic. I know they’re short stories, but Lordt they all seemed to be the same story.

Ok so I really liked Merry and Bright. She was a woman that got overlooked by everyone in her family all the time. But on her way back home to celebrate Hanukkah she meets a football player named Cal who actually celebrates Christmas. They start fake dating, but quickly realize that their feelings aren’t actually fake. I liked this one because there seemed to be a full thought out plot and conflict and everything. Like when they are almost found out about the fake dating, it was from something really emotional that I wasn’t expecting in a short story. I liked that plot twist a lot. I also liked You Better Not Pout because I liked the concept. Working things out and trying to get back together. I didn’t love the writing style, but I usually love Sosa’s stuff, so I chalked it up to it being a short story.

The others just didn’t stand out the way I wanted them to. The one with the vet was weird. I’m not sure if it was the writing style or what, but that single short story felt choppy and more. THe comedian one was weird. And I hated that because I usually like Danan. It just seemed really basic. He gets locked out, finds out its her that’s his neighbor, asks to stay with her for a bit, takes a shower over there, etc. It really felt weird because they had no chemistry.

This wasn’t what I was expectig, but it was a quick read when I needed it for the Christmas holidays. Idk if I’ll be buying any more of these unless they decide to make the stories longer and give the authors a little bit more freedom because these were mostly meh.

Overall, I give this
