Two for Tuesday: New Beginnings!

These themes will vary! It could be based off of some book mail I just received, pop culture, something personal to me, a headline from the news, a trend I noticed when I was buying books for my library system, etc. I hope you stick around to see all the themes and book recs I come up with!

Today’s Theme: New Beginnings!

With the new year comes new beginnings. It gives you a fresh start and let’s you move on from the mistakes of the past. And though this one isn’t specifically about the new year, both of these books have characters facing new beginnings. In this one, the main characters are being haunted. Sawyer is being haunted by his late fiancee who is now starting to fade. But Sawyer isn’t ready to let go. He is trying everything he can to bring her back in some way, even while falling for Morgan. Until he can’t deny it anymore. He finally goes out on a limb and let’s her in. It’s about right then that I was bawling and blowing my nose hard enough to make a honking sound lol Sawyer is a perfect example of getting a fresh start while moving on from the past. I would love to see their life together now. I was so proud of Sawyer and all that he had to learn and let go to get to the point he’s at now.

In this one for new beginnings I thought about Dom. He’s an influencer who got big off one viral video… And then he left and never looked back. When he finally came back to “visit,” he runs into an old flame who basically tells him like it is. For most of the book I thought he was a lost cause, but as I read on I noticed that he was making better choices and asking more questions. He turns over a new leaf by the end. I’m sure he heard me cheering from way back here lol This book is actually about the New Year and New Beginnings and I thought it fit perfectly with this week’s theme!

Well, there you go! Here I’m just going to talk about why I grouped these two books together. I hope you enjoyed a look at this small part of the books. For a full synopsis of the book or to add it to your TBR, click the picture and it will take you to their Storygraph. The link on the caption will take you to it’s Goodreads.

What about you? Have you read either of these? Will you read them? What other characters had a new beginning that stood out to you? Let me know in the comments!
