In this cosy and spicy paranormal romance, a successful horror author whose novel is being adapted into a movie clashes with the actor cast as the male lead, all in a spooky mansion filled with ghosts, from the author of Best Hex Ever.
Rosemary is a successful horror author with a secret: she can see ghosts. So when the set of her hit novel’s film adaptation turns out to be a haunted countryside manor, she’s unfazed. What she’s less prepared for is the maddeningly handsome, completely miscast actor playing her leading man.
Ellis is a Hollywood heartthrob tired of his action-hero persona. Instead, he dreams of being a serious actor, and having free time to spend gardening with his dog. Landing the lead in a historical horror movie is his chance to start fresh… until he discovers the author tried to have him replaced.
But as filming progresses, and the manor’s ghosts make their presence known, the chemistry between Rosemary and Ellis becomes undeniable. With secrets being spilled, sparks flying, and spirits stirring up trouble, can they face their demons and write themselves a happily-ever-after before it’s a wrap?

*MY THOUGHTS*

I haven’t read a paranormal romacne in a long time, but I really liked this. Definitely reaffirmed my love for this subgenre as long as its cozy lol This was so much fun and I don’t usually like ghosts. Maybe because the romance isn’t with a certain paranormal entity? It made all the difference for me.

OK so like I sadi I don’t normally like ghost stories. They usually seem boring since they can’t really do anything. But this one had a romance with a living person and one person who could see ghosts. And that made all the difference for me. There were a few times where this person interacted with and did things with the ghost, but for the most part, the story was focused on her and the love story she had unfolding. And that made it way less boring to me lol But the little spurts of her talking to them and helping them was really cool. I thought it was a really nice way to add them to the story without making it overbearing.

The romance was just ok. I didn’t really feel like they had a lot of chemistry, but at the same time, they had to have something because of what they were doing. She had to really like and trust him for them to practice sub/dom, so I didn’t think it was bad. I just didn’t really feel like it was real. It felt like they were just getting together because they both like the same thing. I understood it better as it went on, but I’ll just say it wasn’t my favorite.

This was fun, but I don’t think I would have given this the time of day if it wasn’t a cozy story. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would and that makes it a good read to me! I hope y’all pick this up even though Halloween is almost over!

Overall, I give this
