TTT: Halloween Freebie!:Like, Try, Why-Books as Movies!

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish and is now run by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week she will post a new Top Ten list . Everyone is welcome to join.  This week’s topic is:

I know I do this every year, but there’s so many more I have this time lol And there’s a new element, I made it Like, Try, Why lol…… Doesn’t count? Oh well read it anyway!

If you like the Sixth Sense, you’ll love these books. They all have some type of character who can speak with the spirits. The Jen DeLuca books are from a series. They were all a lot of fun!

If you liked H1M, you’ll like Ruin Road. He was a good kid, great player, but he meets some weird people along the way who actually lead him astray.

If you liked Sinners, you’ll like Ring Shout. There’s paranormal happenings and the Klan is depicted as Demons. It was a helluva good time!

If you liked Annabelle, you’ll like these books. Both of them feature some dolls you’d rather not be around…..

If you like Clown in a Cornfield, you’ll probably like these. One is the book the movie is based off of and the other is about a crazy clown that invades a teen party.

If you liked Y2K, then you might like 13 Months Haunted. I’ve never seen the movie, but I read on imdb that it is a “mix of the era’s [horror] and sci-fi horror.” And that’s exactly this book. They also mentioned that some of the best parts of this is the nostalgia that it gives.

If you liked Jennifer’s Body, you might like The Eyes are the Best Part. Let’s just say, both of these books give a new definition to the term “Maneater” lol I hate to say one was justified, buttttt………..

If you liked Us, you’ll like The Others. Both of them have evil doppelgangers. And trust me, you don’t want to run into the ones from this book or this movie.

If you liked Arachnophobia (which wtf why would you?!) read Down Came the Spiders. Because of obvious reasons. Now I haven’t watched this movie because I am TERRIFIED of spiders, but I do want to read this book. It’s just sitting there for now until I get my courage up. I’ll try to get to it before Halloween tho.

If you think you’ll like the new Frankenstein, I’m sure you’ll like Make me a Monster. This one was so good and I even teared up in some places. This horror book will definitely make you think!

Have you watched or read any of these? Will you do it now? Let me know in the comments!

  1. Ooh nice topic twist! Although I find myself cringing at the movie choices (I’m a big chicken!), except Frankenstein! I might watch that one…during the day, just to be safe! Lol. I love a good creepy book though so I will definitely be looking at a few of these! Great picks!

    Here’s my Tuesday Post

    Have a GREAT day!
