Would you rather read a book with terrible writing but a good story or a book with a terrible story but good writing?
I’m going to go with terrible writing but a good story because at least there’s something I can be interested in, the overall plot. Only because there is no amount of terrible writing that can make the overall story good lol

I said more or less the same! I hate saying the writing was terrible because even if it’s not my cup of tea, the author still poured their heart into it. So I too would rather read a book with a great story and maybe not super great writing, but still entertaining enough to keep me going!
