Two for Tuesday: Kissin on the Koasters!

These themes will vary! It could be based off of some book mail I just received, pop culture, something personal to me, a headline from the news, a trend I noticed when I was buying books for my library system, etc. I hope you stick around to see all the themes and book recs I come up with!

Today’s Theme: Kissin on the Koasters!

I know this one is oddly close to the one I did with the creepy theme parks, but this was too cute to pass up. I have adored both of these reads (well so far since I’m currently reading this one) so I just said forget it and just made it happen. In this one, Lia is trying desperately to get from under her parent’s thumb and the path they have carved for her. To do so she’s participating in a scavenger hunt at their version of the most magical place on Earth. (I hate that this isn’t a graphic novel tho. The way Jenny is describing this place just sounds cool.) While doing this scavenger hunt, Lia learns so much about herself, her friends, and the cute boy who’s been helping her along….. [This is a YA book and it comes out 7/22/25]

This one is set directly at an amusement park, but there is a significant scene that happens at one and it was easily one of my favorite scenes in the book. Jackie also shows signs of change at her park. She begins to soften toward Axel when she sees him doing his TikTok dances at the park for everyone to see. I think he reminded her to just be herself and stop trying to play the part of what she wanted her ex wanted. ESPECIALLY with the way her ex was…… Not great. His confidence impressed her and I like to think she fell for him right then and there. There isn’t really kissing on any coasters, but they get there eventually, where they’re at lol And that was good enough for me. [This is a YA book and it’s out now!]

Well, there you go! Here I’m just going to talk about why I grouped these two books together. I hope you enjoyed a look at this small part of the books. For a full synopsis of the book or to add it to your TBR, click the picture and it will take you to their Storygraph. The link on the caption will take you to it’s Goodreads.
