Have you ever ventured out of your preferred genres? If so, were you surprised you enjoyed the book?
Yes! I read and loved Harlem Rhapsody, I also loved Children of Blood and Bone, and some more others. I’m not a huge fantasy or historical fiction reader, but sometimes one sneaks in and I can’t stop thinking about it!

I pretty much stick to my favorite genres. I need magic, “weirdness”, or something paranormal to hold my interest in a story. But since there’s such a nice variety of them out there in my genre I am never left wanting! Lol.
