These themes will vary! It could be based off of some book mail I just received, pop culture, something personal to me, a headline from the news, a trend I noticed when I was buying books for my library system, etc. I hope you stick around to see all the themes and book recs I come up with!

Today’s Theme: Thrill Rides
This one was so easy! I didn’t realize there were so many amusement park reads coming out this year. Enough to do two different TfTs! For today’s I want to focus on those amusement parks that really aren’t so amusing! In this one, there’s a dea+h on one of the rides and as the teens try to figure out what is happening, the dea+hs keep piling up. This one really creeped me out because it really made me feel crazy because this happens on a ride. That a lot of the employees were on. How did no one realize this was going on? lol It just seems weird. But I’m not quite done yet, so we’ll see how things shake out.
This one isn’t out until 8/5, so I haven’t read it, but it sounds so good! There’s a girl who’s just been accepted into the “popular girls group.” There’s a sleepover in an amusement park, a dare that’s accepted in an abandoned part of the park, and there’s mention of an awakened evil….. And y’all this is a MG book? In which, HELL YEAH I’M EXCITED. And I’m even more excited because the reviews are all saying this was actually scary for a MG book. I can’t wait to find out!
Well, there you go! Here I’m just going to talk about why I grouped these two books together. I hope you enjoyed a look at this small part of the books. For a full synopsis of the book or to add it to your TBR, click the picture and it will take you to their Storygraph. The link on the caption will take you to it’s Goodreads.
Other Books with Not so Amusing Amusement Parks

There’s also more that are coming out this year! Storygraph and social media for updates on those titles!

What about you? Have you read or seen any recent media where there was a run-down scary looking amusement park? What did you think of them? Let me know in the comments!
