TTT: My Unpopular Bookish Opinions

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish and is now run by Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week she will post a new Top Ten list . Everyone is welcome to join.  This week’s topic is:

  1. Sometimes the movie/show IS better than the book
  2. I actually love a good series. Or if its a romance and its an interconnected companion series!
  3. Illustrated covers are actually my jam lol
  4. Diversifying your reading IS NOT HARD
  5. Hardcovers –> Paperbacks –> E-books (I LOVE the convenience of them, but it’s so hard not to bounce around to 30 different books since I have so many of them in my hands at once!)
  6. I actually HATE B&N because of the way they treat diverse authors, but that’s the only bookstore within 10 miles from me. Fortunately mine keeps stock of not only local authors, but also diverse authors. (I will ALWAYS ask them to order a book if I don’t get it from an indie)
  7. You CAN read books by and about diverse voices outside of their designated months.
  8. Fantasy is like my 5th favorite genre lmao
  9. I don’t mind books with pop culture in them
  10. Friends to Lovers, Sports Romance, Forced Proximity>>>>>> Literally ANY OTHER TROPE lmao

What about you? Do you actually agree with any of these? Do you DISAGREE with any of these? Let me know in the comments!

  1. I actually never really thought of anything negative about illustrated covers! I love them too! A few of my favorite authors tend to have illustrated covers all the time! I remember one time, the publisher tried to change the cover scheme around the 4th or 5th book and readers were not happy so they switched back for the next book. It’s the one anomaly of the series! Lol. I can say that I do have 2 movies I enjoyed better than the book, but it’s also because I saw the movies like 100 times before my mom deemed me old enough to read said books. Other than that, I feel like always just like them separately. I don’t think one ever really topped the other.

    Here’s my Tuesday Post

    Have a GREAT day!
