These themes will vary! It could be based off of some book mail I just received, pop culture, something personal to me, a headline from the news, a trend I noticed when I was buying books for my library system, etc. I hope you stick around to see all the themes and book recs I come up with!

Today’s Theme: Women’s History Month! (Women in STEM)
March is Women’s History Month, so today I wanted to talk about women in certain areas that I am amazed by. Last year I did female athletes as we watched Simone Biles and Angel Reese and more do amazing things in all sports. So this year I wanted to talk about women in academia and STEM. I JUST did a post about Blerds on Tiktok, so I thought why not talk about two of my favorite nerds for Women’s History Month. So for this one I chose Solving for the Unknown by Loan Le. This is a dual POV and she’s a biology major or pre-med. She gets a place in a doctor’s program and even her interview answers were good. She’s definitely on her way to being an amazing doctor. [This is a YA book.]
This is one is a bit different. Dorothy is a wildlife biologist and she’s damn good at her job. I mean she was even still trying to work while she was abducted by aliens lol But what I loved the most about her was the way she was so smart. She immediately adapted to the new planet and tried getting work done there. I can’t lie, I think I would have just given up as soon as I got there. But then things got so much more crazy and it turned into so much more than what I was expecting. I can’t say that this change had A LOT to do with her career and STEM, but I can say it counts anyway lol [This is an Adult Book and it has a Poly Romance]

Well, there you go! Here I’m just going to talk about why I grouped these two books together. I hope you enjoyed a look at this small part of the books. For a full synopsis of the book or to add it to your TBR, click the picture and it will take you to their Storygraph. The link on the caption will take you to it’s Goodreads.
I didn’t add any extra book recs since I made the work lists, so here’s the top pics from those lists if you don’t want to click the links lol

Have you heard of these two? Will you be adding them to your TBR? What do you think of Women in STEM or Academia? Let me know in the comments!
