Two for Tuesday: Floating into the New Year!

These themes will vary! It could be based off of some book mail I just received, pop culture, something personal to me, a headline from the news, a trend I noticed when I was buying books for my library system, etc. I hope you stick around to see all the themes and book recs I come up with!

Today’s Theme: Floating into the New Year!

Ok so what do you think about floating unicorns? LOL I have been waiting so long to write that sentence. As soon as I discovered the connection I’ve been waiting to tell y’all about it. So in this book there was a unicorn floatie that was used when the main character is trying to do a grand gesture to this guy who runs the book club he’s in. Buttttt things don’t go as planned. And this unicorn floatie is less cute and more embarrassing. I’m talking second hand embarrassment to the other characters as well as the reader. It was all bad. But the MC bounces back through out the rest of the book. I enjoyed it.

This one also has a unicorn floatie, but its so much more “tame” than the other. This one is used as a last resort to go and help the woman he loves when she needs help. And IDK about you, but seeing a man brave a unicorn floatie just to go get her some help and some meds would trip me out. I would think I was losing it lol But he was not playing about her and I thought that was very sweet. The way he thought through all the different avenues and figured out which would be the easiest and fastest way to get there for her was so cute. Still one of my favorite moments from this book.

[One is YA and one is Adult]

Well, there you go! Here I’m just going to talk about why I grouped these two books together. I hope you enjoyed a look at this small part of the books. For a full synopsis of the book or to add it to your TBR, click the picture and it will take you to their Storygraph. The link on the caption will take you to it’s Goodreads.

Have you read either of these? Will you do so now? How did you float into the New Year? Let me know in the comments!
