Two for Tuesday: Killer Klownies!

These themes will vary! It could be based off of some book mail I just received, pop culture, something personal to me, a headline from the news, a trend I noticed when I was buying books for my library system, etc. I hope you stick around to see all the themes and book recs I come up with!

Today’s Theme: Killer Klownies

There’s not much that I’m scared of nowadays, but there are plenty of things that I don’t like. And for one, that is clowns. I am not a fan. While looking into this, I found some info on clowns and people who are scared of them. It looks like some experts believe 1 in 10 adults are scared of clowns. And I actually believe that lol It makes me feel less bad. With this one comes a town mascot that’s a clown…. But he ends up not being as friendly as he should be. Let’s just say, the town and this clown control way too much lol This is YA, but it is a bit gory. (I actually DNFed this because they talked about drugs too much for me, but I did read some spoilers)

This one is one of my faves. I think I read this in 2 days lol It’s a slasher with a clown! So there’s a Halloween party and the people there are all influencers of some kind. Next thing you know, the clown that the MC ordered for the party arrives. And he is a lot less “funny” than she thought…… There are some weird moments, like the clowning using the restroom in a Birkin bag, so please read your content warnings. But I actually really enjoyed this one. And I know on good authority, that someone was actually really scared of this, so it worked. This slasher was hilarious and scary, so I would say read it and tell me what you think!

Well, there you go! Here I’m just going to talk about why I grouped these two books together. I hope you enjoyed a look at this small part of the books. For a full synopsis of the book or to add it to your TBR, click the picture and it will take you to their Storygraph. The link on the caption will take you to it’s Goodreads.

What about you? Are you scared of clowns? Or do you just not like them? Let me know in the comments!
