What novel would you recommend that blends characteristics of your favorite genre with horror concepts, and why???
This is so weird because I just wrote a whole like essay about this lol But then I deleted it because who wants to read that? lol But I think my favorite horror concept is “the unknown.” I am a person that’s really big on control, so anything I can’t control concerns me. And that’s with anything and everything. It really makes me nervous when i can’t make the bad things miss me or go somewhere else. So with that being said….. The most recent book that I think fits this, that I wouldn’t say is my favorite, but I did finish in one sitting is……
This one wasn’t exactly wild, but to know that I couldn’t help my child in any way made me so uneasy. This was a hard one to read, but it was so good!

The unknown is definitely creepy! Especially if it’s something that doesn’t play by the usual rules. Like if it was a paranormal monster but it didn’t “play” by any of the norms we know from reading a lot!
