Top 10 Books That Provide a Much-Needed Escape
I am very aware these will not provide everyone an escape, but I enjoyed all of these very much!
–Camp Sylvania was so much fun! From the ghosts, to the vampires, and everything! It was all just so much fun!
–The Sunbearer Trials obviously had to be on this list. The Trials was so cool and I felt swept away when I was there.
–A Bánh Mì for Two swept me to Vietnam. I’ve only ever been to Mexico and only to the tourist attractions, so I had so much fun imagining what things looked like and how the food tasted.
–Haunted Ever After was a lot of fun too. I know it was a small town type of thing, but it is still cool! I wish I could have a drink with that ghost lol
–Near Misses and Cowboy Kisses is a book that I basically lived vicariously through. I know for a fact that I would not do this in real life lol So learning about all of the things about the trail and the animals, etc. was very fun.
–Silver Lining is set on a singles cruise and it is wild. And I loved every bit of it!
–Thieves’ Gambit swept me all through all her *ahem* escapades and I loved it! This was so much fun that I voted to put it in one of our programs at work.
–The Paradise Problem has a beautiful island setting and I imagined myself there every time I opened that book. I loved this so much more than I thought it would.
–Only for the Week is set in Tulum and yes I was swept up, but not because I was swept up in the setting. More like the mess lmao I was hanging on the fact that I wanted her to hit that girl in her mouth, but that’s besides the point lol
–Dragonfruit immediately sweeps you up and takes you to the water. I would have loved to see the Dragonfruit and the Sea Dragons! Idk if it was my imagination or the actual book, but I found myself thinking about those dragons even when I wasn’t reading it.
What do you think? Would you read any of these? Have you? Let me know in the comments!
Ooh nice picks! Lots of new to me ones but I have been eyeing Haunted Ever After lately, and now I am convinced that I just need to get it! Lol.
Here’s my Tuesday Post
Have a GREAT day!
