Update on Hurricane Beryl Aftermath!

Hey y’all! I’ve finally got power, but not from being at home -_- We had to come to a friend’s house. But I’m not going to be mad or upset. I’m I’m very thankful we have a friend who let me, hubs, a 3 year old, and 2 dogs crash so we could get out of the heat. Hopefully Centerpoint and the Tx govt will stop playing in our faces soon and will reimburse us for the lost food we had in the fridge and the deep freezer. And hopefully Centerpoint will give some credit on the next bill because we’re going on Day 4 and I am ANNOYED that both on both sides of me they have their power back But we don’t. Why are we stuck in the middle like this? I am annoyed lol AND THEN to find out someone used my card at a hotel in Dallas when I CAN’T EVEN GET IN A HOTEL IS MAKING ME WANT TO NOT EVEN TALK TO HUMANS EVER AGAIN. How can you do that in the middle of a disaster with no idea if that person is struggling too? Well, they’re going to get a nice surprise when they check out and the people at the front desk say that it looks like that card is stolen. Womp Womp.

But all in all, my family is safe, we have power, and I’m not worried about my doggies anymore. I hope we can get power very soon because this is for the birds. But if not, we’re somewhere that has it and a 3 year old is eating his weight in snacks and is smiling and that’s all I can ask for. I’ll be back to my regularly scheduled program after I make it back into my own house. I don’t want to put too much pressure on me to keep up with a schedule or make up for a schedule. My anxiety is still too high for all that lol Until then, Later y’all! Hope to see y’all soon!

  1. Sorry to hear about all the excess problems post storm. And ugh, a credit card thief on top of it all! They suck! Glad you had friends with AC and power to help you out! I remember at our old house when our power went out the neighbors across the street always had it. It sucked, because it always tended to happen in the summer when it’s boiling hot and I hate our heat and humidity! Ugh. Hoping your power is back by now!
