Top 10 Freebie: Books that Remind me of Christmas Cookies

Gingerbread: There’s usually a bit of spice in gingerbread. So obviously I had to go with a spicy book lol

Peanut Butter: If you didn’t know, I’m allergic to peanuts so I haven’t had them before. I paired it with Only for the Holidays by Abiola Bello because it’s been published in the UK only. (Did I buy it anyway? Yes, yes I did lol)

Chocolate Chip: This is my favorite cookie, so of course I chose the book that was most like me. I LOVED The Holiday Switch because the main character is a book blogger and that was enough for me.

Oatmeal Raisin: I’m not a huge fan of oatmeal raisin, but I do have one here and there after some modifications and I’m left with a whole different cookie! (Modifications meaning I took out the raisins lol) In this book the main character is spoiled and I didn’t really like him. But after he goes to this small town and sees what type of person he is. He changes into a completely different person then.

Chocolate and Potato Chip: Ok so this one is fun! A potato chip is something you’d usually not expect to see in a cookie. And the salty sweet taste is so surprisingly amazing. And in this book, without reading the synopsis, you’d never know this is a book set over Christmas lol Well unless you’re from the south. It’s a huge surprise every time to hear them mention something as small as a stocking lol

Sugar Cookies: They really are basic. Good, but basic. If you add some other stuff to it, it could be better, just like The Christmas Clash. It was basic, but I think with a little more umph it could have been better. With this one I think with a little more Christmas stuff in the book it would have been a 5 star read to me.

Everything But the Kitchen Sink cookies: These cookies can turn into something amazing or something weird lol They’re like a mish mash of things that come together and make an awesome cookie. Much like this book. It’s a mish mash of different stories that come together to make one awesome story told from different perspectives. (It’s been brought to my attention that these are also called Santa’s Trash cookies lol)

Chocolate Peanut Butter Stacks: I almost said these didn’t count, but I think they do. They’re not exactly cookies, but they look like the real thing. They’re just different. So I paired this with the Young Scrooge story by R.L. Stine. It looks like the original but there’s some things that have been changed.

Peanut Butter Blossoms: They’re a classic for everyone (except me) and It’s a Fabulous Life is a retelling of the Christmas classic It’s a Wonderful Life. I haven’t read this one yet, but I will soon. I just got it in from the library so it’ll be coming up soon!

Whoopie Pie Cookies: These actually play a large part in this book, so I added it. I wasn’t a huge fan of the main character, so i don’t think I would have added it without this connection.

**BONUS** Chocolate Mint Chip Cookies: I included these because I’ve never tried them (I’m the only person in my family who likes mint themed desserts lol) but I know I’d like them and want to know more about where they came from and what they’re about. Same with these winter holidays. I’ve never participated in Hanukkah or Diwali, but I think it would be fun to know/learn about them.

What about you? Do you have any Christmas or holiday traditions? Let me know in the comments!
