WOOOOOO! Today is finally the day! It’s Bookstore Romance Day! If you’ve never heard of this before, today is a day to give “independent bookstores an opportunity to celebrate Romance fiction—its books, readers, and writers—and to strengthen the relationships between bookstores and the Romance community.” I understand I’m still new in the romance community, (adult wise) so this was something I’ve never been a part of. (Which is why I’m writing this!) I’m excited to go do what I do best…….. Buy some books lol I’m especially excited to buy some books from the indies because of this BS that’s come from B&N lately. But I don’t want to talk to them. This is a happy post.
So how is everyone celebrating? Me, I’m celebrating by going to a new bookstore! It’s not new, but it’s still new to me. I’m going to Kindred Stories , a Black owned bookstore that only sells Black books. They have a raffle going for a gift card from there as well as giving customers flowers. (Or so that’s what the website said.) I can’t wait to go and look around. There’s also a Comicbook store right next to it, so OF COURSE I have to go and look at the Wonder Woman things they have. There’s also a coffee shop a couple blocks over, so I’m literally going to be in my element lol

-Showcase your favorite romance novels
-Visit & buy something from your favorite indie bookstore
-Show what you bought today
-Do a creative journal post highlighting your favorite bookstore
-Go to a romance only bookstore
