Top 10 15 Books On My Summer 2022 TBR!
At Take Me Away… Summer is seen as June-August, so these are books that release during that time that I’m hoping to read!
–The Black Girls Left Standing by Juliana Goodman: I’m going to be listening to this audio soon. I JUST got the audio from the publisher so I’ll be listening to it after I finish some audios from the library that are due soon. And I can’t wait! (Out 06/28/2022)
–This Vicious Grace by Emily Thiede: I decided I wanted to listen to this one early. Although I’ve only gotten to the point where she asks him to be her bodyguard, I still like it so far. We’ll see how things go as the book goes on. (Out 06/28/2022)
–The Accidental Pin-Up by Danielle Jackson: I have been waiting on this book for what seems like forever. I LOVE the cover and I love the premise. I really hope the romance is as good as everything else about that book sounds! (Out 07/19/2022)
– Love Times Infinity by Lane Clarke: It occured to me that I had never even read the synopsis of this, but I saw there were some Black teens on the cover and they’re staring/smirking at each other, so it’s a romance lol I didn’t need more than that. (Out 07/26/2022)
-The Witchery by S. Isabelle: All these POC witches this year and I’m LIVING FOR IT. (Out 07/26/2022)
–A Girl’s Guide to Love and Magic by Debbie Rigaud: Another case of I had no idea of what it was about, but I loved the cover lol (Out 08/02/2022)
–The Feeling of Falling In Love by Mason Deaver: I read their debut a few years back and I remember book pushing it to everyone. I knew I would remember that book for quite some time. This one looks like it will be just as good as that one. Although the cover is a little too close to real life this time. (08/02/2022)
–The Hook-Up Plan by Farrah Rochon: Listen, I have LOVED this series. I’m a little sad that this is the last one (don’t quote me lol) (Out 08/02/2022)
–Belladonna by Adalyn Grace: Ok this looks bad, but this is another one where I saw the cover and just clicked Send to Kindle lol I still don’t know what its about, but I sure do want to read it ASAP. (Out . 08/30/2022)
–The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches by Sangu Mandanna: SO many BIPOC witches. I’m here to try all of themmmmm! (Which is hella strange because witches aren’t usually my thing lol) (Out 08/23/2022)
-Over my Dead Body Sweeney Boo: I love a good graphic novel. And I’m particularly feeling this one right now. (Out August 30, 2022)
–Three Kisses by Roshani Chokshi, Evekyn Skye, and Sandhya Menon: More BIPOC witches! Out 8/30/2022
–Good Morning, Love by Ashley Coleman: I’m pretty sure I put in a request for this at work, AND at the other two libraries I visit. I need someone to say, “I believe) Out now!
–Honey & Spice by Bolu Babalola: This was a surprise at my doorstep when it showed up, but it was a very welcome one. Can’t wait to read it! (Out 7/5/2022)
–We Deserve Monuments by Jas Hammonds: I always loved this one for the title and cover alone. Can’t wait to read! (Out 7/12/2022)
