What is your method for writing reviews- do you write immediately after reading, wait a few days, or write while you are reading?

I always write while I’m reading. Not a full out review, just notes so that I can keep up with things. And I always use tabs with different colors for different meanings so that I have an easy way to go back and look at things I might want to double check and things like that. It’s not a great system (people always complain that taking notes takes them out of the story, etc.) but it works for me. Sometimes I might also do a review on TikTok if there’s a sound that I can think of off the top of my head that I want to use for it. Sometimes it’s easier for me to do 1500 takes for a 15 second clip than it is to write something out for a blog post lmao

What about you? Do you take notes? Do you have a different system to help you remember? Let me know in the comments!

  1. Oh I’m a note taker too! I usually just jot down a few plot point things, just so I don’t forget about the beginning and things when it comes time to write the review at the end of the book. It also works when I know there’s a sequel coming I’ll include ending happenings and what not and any guesses I have to unsolved mysteries so that way I’ll be mostly prepared for the next book come a year later!

    Have a GREAT day!
