Top 10 21st Century Books I Think Will Become Classics

Is it sad that my original answer to this was literally anything that the idiot GOP would censor?

-The Fountains of Silence by Ruta Sepetys: Or literally anything else by Ruta Sepetys. I’m not a historical fiction person, but I know her fan base and I know people would talk about her books for years to come.
-Ain’t Burned All the Bright by Jason Reynolds and artwork by Jason Griffin: Have you read this? It’s about COVID and the George Floyd protests, and the artwork is incredible. I think it’s like a classic right now.

-Black Birds in the Sky by Brandy Colbert: Listen, this is about the 1921 Tulsa massacre. Not everyone knows about that, but now that this book is out? I think everyone should read it and make everyone keep reading it.
-Stella by McCall Hoyle: I have only read this book one time and I don’t think I’ll ever read it again. Man listen, I cried buckets reading this. But even still, it was still good. And there is so much rep in this one too. So good.

-Indivisible by Daniel Aleman: With all the crap going on in where I live, I can only imagine that this will be read by many people with immigrant parents no matter where they’re from so they can feel less alone.
-With You All the Way by Cynthia Hand: The way this book talks about sex and virginity, I think people will be jumping over each other trying to read this once everything else is taken away because of our idiot governors.

-Long Way Down by Jason Reynolds: I really think this will be used as a teaching tool for poetry. The way it’s written is just amazing.
-The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas: If you don’t think this book is going to be a classic later on, you haven’t read it. Hell I kinda feel like it’s a classic right now.

-Running by Natalia Slyvester: I think this will help those know that their vote actually makes a difference and that they should do so as soon as they hit 18.
-Stamped by Jason Reynolds and Ibram X. Kendi: I don’t think I really need to say a lot about this. This is evident. I said a long time ago that this needs to be read in every social studies class ever.
