Also if you follow my Instagram, you saw in my stories that I posted a graphic about Banned Books Week. I said that the majority of the books banned are for LGBTQ+ content and Racial/Anti-Racist content. And then both of the books that were banned in Texas this year are for both of those things. The Breakaways for there being a transgender character and New Kid by Jerry Craft because people with no melanin said it was teaching critical race theory. If you’ve read it, you KNOW that’s not true.
Hi my name is Nikki and I want to read stuff based on how the cover looks lolol ESPECIALLY if it’s an illustrated cover. I know they’re not always rom coms and sometimes they’re even fade to black, but with a cute cover like that, I HAVE TO FIND OUT ON MY OWN!!!!! (Also, I’m still getting approved for things that I requested a long time ago and they’re either out or out this week -___-)
