Does the cover of a book affect whether you are willing to read it?
I hate to say this, but yes. I am a cover whore lol I add books to my TBR because of the cover all the time. It’s the reason I have over 3,000 books on my To-Read list. I just add them because they’re pretty lol And I also add them if they have some type of diversity on the cover.
Here’s an example! I love the cover and I love that there’s body diversity on the cover! So pretty! (This probably isn’t a great example because I read and liked the first one and was going to read this one anyway, but whatever lol)

Oh totally. If I’m drawn to a cover I pick it up to see if I want to read it and like 90% of the time I do! Maybe a little more than 90% I can’t remember one where the cover wowed me but not the story.
