This week’s topic is:
Top 10 Books I Want to Read Again for the First Time!
I liked the prompt, but I wanted to do my own spin on it!
-Harry Potter: I mean of course I was thinking about this book when I made this prompt. I would do anything to read this again for the first time lol
-I’ll Meet You There by Heather Demetrios: I LOVED this book. I find myself thinking of so many different scenes from this book randomly, and I wish I could read it again for the first time.
-The Anatomical Shape of my Heart by Jenn Bennett: I remember reading this for the first time and thinking wth am I reading lol But it ended up being so good! I’d give anything to have that same wth feeling again if I could read it for the first time again.
-With Malice by Eileen Cook: I remember getting to the ending of this and having to read it twice. I didn’t believe it then, and I’m wondering if I read it for the first time again would it surprise me the too.
-The Bromance Book Club by Lyssa Kay Adams: This is still my favorite of the series. I remember the things I liked and didn’t like, but mostly those that I did. Every time I read another in the series I always compare it to this one. I wish I could read this all over again for the first time.
-I Wanna Be Where You Are by Kristina Forest: I asked about a book like this before I knew this book was a thing. I’m so thankful that Forest put the spotlight on 2 Black teens falling in love when it felt like no one else would. I remember crying as I wrote my review because that’s how important this was to me. I never had anything like this as a teen, so this was hella important to me!
-Cinderella is Dead by Kalynn Bayron: Another important first for books with Black characters. There hasn’t been a re-telling with a Black LGBTQ character until this one and I’m so happy that we have it. Some people weren’t so happy, but to me, that’s how you know you’re doing something right.
-Tweet Cute by Emma Lord: This was super cute and I was excited to see so many other people loved it. I would love to experience the food and the plotting against each other for the first time all over again lol
-The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas: Listen, I wish I could go back and read this again for the first time. The first book (that I’ve read) that showed the truth of police brutality. I wish I could experience this again for the first time.
-Damage Done by Amanda Panitch: When I first read this book I was SHOCKED by the ending. And I mean super shocked. Again, I wonder if I would be as shocked if I were to read it again for the first time. (And anyone that might pick this up because of me, let me know if you’re shocked too lol
What about you? What books would you read again for the first time? Would you have chosen any of these? Let me know in the comments!
OOh nice picks! Harry made my list too naturally! Lol! I still need to read With Malice for the first time myself!
Here’s my Tuesday Post
