This week’s topic is:

Last Ten Books I DNF’ed

1. By the Book by Amanda Sellet: I felt like it was trying to hard. And I’m not a fan of the classics, so all of the references were lost on me. I just wasn’t the right audience for it.

2. Happy Trail by Daisy Prescott: I’m just not a fan of Daisy’s writing. This isn’t the first DNF of hers I’ve had.

3. Anna K by Jenny Lee: One of my triggers is drugs. And this is full of it from the beginning. I just couldn’t do it.

4. We Are the Wildcats by Siobhan Vivian: I hadn’t heard about the incident on Twitter, but once I did, it threw me off for the rest of the story. I might read her others, but after what she said and this book is about feminism? Yeah, NO.

5. Infinity Son by Adam Silvera: Idk, this one just didn’t work for me. Which is so upsetting because I LOVE Silvera. I just think I was the wrong audience.

6. Kingdom of Souls by Rena Barron: I tried reading this in to different formats and couldn’t get into it. I think it’s a “Not it, its me” kinda thing….

7. All the Stars and Teeth by Adalyn Grace: I was super excited about this one, but when I made it to page 50 and the synopsis had told everything that happened in the story so far…. Yeah, I didn’t care anymore. It made the story boring.

8. Red Hood: I’m ok with a lot of gore and stuff, but some things I just can’t handle. One of the things that happened in this book wasn’t something I cared to read about, so I DNF’ed it.

9. Of Curses and Kisses by Sandhya Menon: I was hoping to love this one. I’m a huge Beauty and the Beast fan, but this one just wasn’t for me. I didn’t like the main character and the writing style was boring. I just didn’t care.

10. Lady Rogue: This is a historical fiction novel, so normally I wouldn’t have read it. But this one was written by Jenn Bennett so I had to give it a shot. But, even still, I still wasn’t the right audience for it. I ended up giving it a try on 2 different formats and still couldn’t finish it.

Even though these books aren’t for me, they might be one you love! Don’t not try it because I didn’t like it. You try it and tell me what you think! I’d love to see your reasoning!

Did you read any of these books? Did you DNF any of these books? Let me know in the comments!
