These themes will vary! It could be based off of some book mail I just received, pop culture, something personal to me, a headline from the news, a trend I noticed when I was buying books for my library system, etc. I hope you stick around to see all the themes and book recs I come up with!

Today’s Theme: Wanna Play?
I saw this cover a couple weeks ago and haven’t stopped thinking about it since. This is a MG book that comes out in August with this creeptastic cover. The scissors and the creepy grin? *shudders” But also, *added to the TBR* LMAO This book features a kid that soon real.0.ized his uncle and him were being possessed by the soul of a dead serial killer. And if that doesn’t tell you how much I need this, then Idk what will. Because seriously? This sounds so good! (Listen Delacorte, HIT ME UP with an ARC ok lol)
This is the book’s cover isn’t nearly as creepy as the other one…. Which I find so weird because this is an adult book lol But even still, I think this one is creepy enough. This one is set in the 80’s and centers a creepy game that has some weird deaths too. This sounds so good, but I have to know…. What is it about old arcade games? Why are they so creepy and why do y’all keep putting them on covers? lol
Well, there you go! Here I’m just going to talk about why I grouped these two books together. I hope you enjoyed a look at this small part of the books. For a full synopsis of the book or to add it to your TBR, click the picture and it will take you to their Storygraph. The link on the caption will take you to it’s Goodreads.
More Books With Haunted Video Games

Some of these are older, but all of them can quite possibly be found at your local library. I think the Midnight Arcade ones sound a bit cooler than everything to be honest because its a choose your own adventure. They just might survive and it won’t be a haunted game lol

What books with haunted video games have you read? Have you read any games that are haunted? Let me know in the comments!
