WoW: The Betrothed by Kiera Cass

This bookish meme tells the blogosphere what we’re waiting patiently (and sometimes not so patiently) for! It’s hosted by Jill over at Breaking the Spine!

The Betrothed (The Betrothed, #1)

     A would-be queen. A handsome young king. A perfect match…or is it?
From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Selection series comes The Betrothed, a glittering royal romance sure to captivate her legion of loyal readers and lovers of courtly intrigue alike.
When King Jameson declares his love for Lady Hollis Brite, Hollis is shocked—and thrilled. After all, she’s grown up at Keresken Castle, vying for the king’s attention alongside other daughters of the nobility. Capturing his heart is a dream come true.
But Hollis soon realizes that falling in love with a king and being crowned queen may not be the happily ever after she thought it would be. And when she meets a commoner with the mysterious power to see right into her heart, she finds that the future she really wants is one that she never thought to imagine.

Why I’m Waiting: Keeping with the theme of royalty (See my review tomorrow) I decided to go with this for my WoW. I have read and liked Kiera Cass’ other series, but I’m still one book away from finishing. I’m hoping this one is its own thing and not another companion. Even still, I will be reading this one no matter what because the cover is gorgeous and I still love royal romances. Here’s to hoping this one is just as wonderful as the cover!!!

What about you?
Will you be waiting on this with me?
Have you read any of her other books before?
What are you waiting on this week?
Let me know in the comments!

  1. Been seeing buzz over this one! That cover is stunning! I hope you enjoy this one too!

    Here's my WoW

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower 🙂

  2. I thought this too! Because, really, what else can you do in this world for YA? lol And also, the cover model looks older. Not that that's any indication.
