Top Ten Books I Can’t Believe I Read!
1. Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty: If you can guess by my MG/YA blog, I don’t read much adult. But this one caught my eye because of the show. And although I can’t believe I read it, I can honestly say I’m glad I did.
2. Solo by Kwame Alexander: I’m no fan of verse and I’ve made that known. But this one was a treat for me. I listened to it on audio and it was pretty cool because they sung and they played music and all. It was more entertainment than a book and I thoght that was really awesome.
3. The Serpent King by Jeff Zentner: When this book came out I didn’t even add it to my TBR. But at that time I was the YA Specialist at my library and it had won so many awards, so I did. And y’all I don’t even know why it WASN’T on my radar in the first place.
4. An Enchantment of Ravens by Margaret Rogerson: I’m also not a fan of fairies, so this wasn’t something I would normally go for. I can’t lie I mainly LOVED the cover and I wanted to read it. And sure enough this one didn’t really work for me.
5. Stella by Starlight by Sharon M. Draper: I never read historical fiction unless there is some type of supernatural or fantasy weirdness happening. But this one was just historical fiction and I read it and loved it. I was shocked that I added it to my TBR and even more so that I enjoyed it!
6. Royce Rolls by Margaret Stohl: I added this book to my TBR because I fell in love with her rainbow hair. But to be honest, that was the only thing I really liked about it. I listened to this on audio and that was the only way I finished it.
7. The Replacement Crush by Lisa Brown Roberts: I just could not believe that this one was about a girl who loves books. And *spoiler* gets the guy. It’s not normal that the nerds get these things, so I really was impressed and could not believe I was reading this.
8. Aftercare Instructions by Bonnie Pipkin: I really was surprised that this book was written for teens. So many people are scared of the topic, so I was really impressed and really loved that it was written for those teens and that it’s becoming a not so taboo topic!
9. The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas: I can’t believe I read this one because I never once in my wildest dreams, dreamed that I would read something that I could relate to so much. It was something that I was super happy to see, but not something I expected to happen. I’m so glad it did!
10. Bad Romance by Heather Demetrios: I was really shocked when someone dared to write about this topic for teens. And I was even more shocked at how well she did it. I can honestly say this is something that I will probably read over and over again.

I kind of stay far away from Bad Romance because I get super emotional when I'm reading and I don't feel like sobbing and cringing. I've heard great things about it though.
I feel like you just made me have an epiphany. I struggle with verse but on audio??? That would be amazing!
I loved Bad Romance. Demetrios is really good at writing tough subjects.
